Did you catch the American Idol finals last year between Taylor Hicks and Catherine What’s Her Name? Who won? The one with the very best voice? Or the one with the most character?
I’m gon na tell you a secret, something nobody ever tells entrepreneurs. It’s not about being the best! It never was. So many entrepreneurs squander their time and money boasting about being the best. “We offer the best doohickeys …” “We offer the very best client service …” ‘
It’s dopey to extol being the very best! Why? ‘Cause
1. Everyone states it.
2. It’s most likely not true.
3. We do not think you anyhow
Don’t fret about it, ’cause
4. We’re not constantly searching for the best.
Are they the best? Not 30 years back when the tune came out and definitely not now. In some way a geriatric Rod got to wiggle his possessions on American Idol along with Taylor Hicks!
The “It” Factor
In showbiz, there’s an expression “You’ve got ‘it’.” What’s “it”?
The reason they call it “it” is due to the fact that it’s difficult to put it into words. It’s got something to do with charm, magnetism, the power to draw in and hold an audience. Honestly, Rod Stewart never did it for me, but Elvis certainly had “it”.
Gain Access To Your Inner Elvis
I simply saw a motion picture about Elvis’ life. Why are individuals so interested by Elvis? Why are they still telling me “Tsufit, I simply saw Elvis at a convenience store!” when he passed away before Britney Spears was born? Why? Because a character that big never dies.
Why was the man such a star? Was it his appearance, his personality, his voice, his music? It’s most likely all of those things– together with this magical thing called “it”, but even with Elvis, it took him a while to find his inner “it”.
In the motion picture, a docu-drama (or shlock-u-drama), Elvis strolls into Sun Records, a little Memphis recording studio, to sing for Sam Phillips. Elvis sings like Bill Monroe; he sings like Bing Crosby; he sings like yesterday’s news. Simply another singer. A dime a lots.
It wasn’t a quickie, even for Elvis, to discover his original voice. He kept at it and Phillips kept pushing him. Ultimately he did discover it. And the rest is history!
피클티비 What’s this got to do with business owners? Everything!
You got ta discover your initial voice. You got ta dig beyond the ordinary. You got ta discover your company’ personality and then you need to reveal it. You got ta access your Inner Elvis!
Do that and see your star shine.
